Season 5 , with the manager being firmly voted back in new back room staff were put in place. Adam Harris became our Treasurer, Natasha became our Secretary and every team needs one, our ‘Club Man’ to help out John was Dick Marshall. Also with this season comes new sponsorship, and a new name. Rose and Thistle.

We had a great season, our best yet, which was spoilt some what from the farce that was the last game of the season. The leagues outcome meant we finished 3rd BUT it was our best ever finish and the learning experience will prove invaluable given that we are such a young side.

We also got the valued promotion we were all after. We set club records in this season

• best ever Inter Divisional Cup Run, Round 3
• highest league position ever attained
• least goals ever conceded
• best goal difference in a season
• Toni got the most clean sheets ever for a Club Keeper
• Most games without defeat

A season to be pround of!!

End of Season AGM

So last night, 3rd May, we had the 2006/07 AGM and presentation night. A big thank you to the Rose & Thistle for the function room and well done for the big turn out. Only Toni, on holiday, and Buncey, no idea, didn’t turn up, so thanks to the others for making it a great night.

We had lots to gets through before the presentation and below is the outcome of the meeting:

Chairman (John D), Treasurer (Adam), Secretary (Natasha), Manager (John D) all re-elected

Sponsorship - Rose & Thistle have agreed to sponsor us and so we are very happy to keep the club name. Birch Carpets have sponsored us and with a two year deal their name will be on the Blue Shirts. Southern Waste Mgmt, we have agreed a two year deal for the away kit and to take with us a pitch side banner.

Club Fees - Thanks to the sponsorship we have we are able to say that this year only a £50 signing on Fee will be required and NO match fees to pay. Training fee of £3 will still be required for Thursday nights.

Reserve Team/Signing On - There will be no move to start a reserve team and no cap for the number of players that can be signed on.

Social Events - We are pleased to announce that Nick Holman will take up this position and one that I hope will prove fruitful. Nick will organise, with help from others when required, the clubs social outings so watch out for those coming up!

End Of Season Tour - It was agreed that we would go on Tour this time next year and so John D will look after these arrangements.
