The man is a legend within the club.

This man, or should I say God, started his footballing career many moons ago as a striker. As the years progressed Clive found himself moving further back down the park with the ultimate position of Goalkeeper. Here he played for the club for a number of years before retiring.

As far as I know Clive has only 1 life left after using so many up during his time in goal for us. Diving at players who were old enough to be son he regular came out best with the young whipper snapper reeling on the floor. Not really renowned for his agility he did make several full length saves during my time in defence, however I swear those were caused by tripping over his boot laces!

After losing his penultimate Cat life towards the end of the season he finally declared that enough was enough and he wanted to get out at the top....WHAT!!! With the managers position vacant he was a natural for it. All seemed well, he soon pointed out to Davison that he was too fat and dropped him from the squad, not even giving him a look in in the starting 16. We had a good bunch of lads back then but after leading 2-1 against the team that ultimately won the league we lost 3-2 right at the end of the match. Clive decided that managing wasn’t for him and he left. Davison picked up the reigns and carried on with the Legends work.

So what now of the Legend... well he’s always there for when the current boss needs a chat and is there when we need a stand in Ref.

As legend has it a “Bunce” must always be part of the playing squad each year and so far we have the Legend’s son, Graeme, playing...beyond that is Graeme’s son Josh... but what then...??? Well if all else fails we’ll wheel out Clive “ The Cat” Bunce and just pray he doesn’t use up his last life.

The pictures at the top of the page are the before and after playing football..

LONG LIVE THE LEGEND!!!
