Thistle Clinch 3rd Spot
The end of the season came to an end with a disappointing 0-0 draw against Frimley Falcons. In a game Thistle dominated they couldn’t get the goal they deserved and so for the first time this season failed to score in a league match.
But with all of that it was looking very bad back in November when a run of poor results found Thistle second from bottom and staring relegation in the face. Some background changes occurred with Gadsen taking over the team for a short while then followed by the permanent position given to Toni Conetta. This resulted in a massive turn around and an unbeaten streak kicking in, this propelled Thistle back up to top spot, however others had games in hand.
Yateley Green Reserves proved what ex manager Davison thought and easily took the Division 2 title with ease, following them were Frimley Falcons and behind them were us. A very respectable position considering this was Rose & Thistle’s first time in this division.
